The National UFO Reporting Center, or NUFORC, contains UFO sighting reports for the State of North Carolina going back to the mid-20th century. According to NUFORC data, North Carolina ranks 12th-highest in the number of reported unidentified flying objects since that time (over 3,000).

Here’s a few tidbits about North Carolina sightings by location, using current data.
