The annual fundraiser for the United Way of Wayne County, North Carolina returns on Saturday, October 12, 2019. The Taste of Wayne County brings together food trucks, restaurateurs, bakers, and treat makers for one day with ticket sales benefiting the local United Way.
The event begins at 11am and runs until 2pm, with ticket-holders receiving a “passport to sample” to use as they try foods from booth-to-booth. Sample a variety of foods made locally and meet the food-makers.
In addition to the food, the event features live music and entertainment.
Only 1,000 tickets are available for this crowd-drawing event. Tickets are $15 per person, with one child (6 or under) free with an adult ticket purchase. Purchase tickets online via the “Buy Now” button on www.unitedwayne.org/taste-of-wayne, or buy in-person at the United Way Of Wayne County office, 2803-B Cashwell Drive, Goldsboro, NC (near Eastgate Shopping Center). Note that online tickets have a small processing fee, with tickets available for pickup at “will call” the day of the event.
The event takes place in downtown, at 200 N Center Street, Goldsboro, NC. Parking is available around town.
Updates may be posted to the “United Wayne” Facebook page.

Funds Raised
This year’s event is “Celebrating 29 years” since the Taste of Wayne County began in 1990 as a benefit for United Way of Wayne County. The United Way of Wayne County “addresses the toughest problems facing the people of Wayne County” and has been offering local solutions for 90+ years.
The 2018 Taste of Wayne County event drew quite a crowd, and provided the United Way of Wayne County with enough funds to impact over 200 lives.
