Youth Programs Upcoming at East Regional Library

Listed below are just a few of the child and teen programs taking place throughout January 2016 at East Regional Library, located at 946 Steeple Square Court, in Knightdale NC.

Storytimes

Baby Storytime – Tuesdays and Wednesdays –  11:30am

Toddler Storytime – Tuesdays and Wednesdays – 9:30am & 10:30am, Fridays – 10:30am & 11:30am

Preschool Storytime – Mondays –  10:30am & 1:30 pm,  Thursdays 10:30am & 11:30am

Family Storytime – Saturdays – 10:30 am & Sundays – 1:30pm

School-Aged Kids

See Spot Read —  Tuesday, January 5th   6:30pm
Practice reading to a therapy dog!  Readers of all levels are welcome.

3rd-5th grade

Create Outside the Lines — January 7, 2016 — 4:30-5:30pm
Does music have a color? The abstract artist thought so. Create a framed work of art in his style using oil pastels while listening to music.

K-5 Super Special — Bilingual Story: Saturday, January 9, 2016 — 11:30am
Listen to a story in English and Spanish and meet some animals!  We will also have a craft.  Escuchen un cuento en espanol e ingles y conozcan los animales!  Presented by the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences.

Teens

Teen Leadership Corps Orientation and Training — Monday, January 11, 2016 — 4:30-5:30pm
Join a group of committed teens who meet regularly to work on leadership and service projects for the library and the community.  To join, teens must complete an application and attend an orientation.  For 6th–10th graders.
