Pecan Day at the State Farmers Market

Friday, November 30, 2018, 11am-1pm

The NC Pecan Growers Association will celebrate NC Pecan Month this Friday at the State Farmers Market, 1201 Agriculture Street, Raleigh NC. During the event, visitors may enjoy free samples of a pecan dessert and purchase local pecans. The Association’s online directory of orchards may be found at www.buyncpecans.com.

Bailey Christmas Tree Lighting

Joine the Town of Bailey for its annual tree lighting. There will also be an opportunity to take photos with Santa Claus, join in the singing, and enjoy a hot chocolate. Bunn Christmas Tree Lighting

Friday, November 30, 2018 @ 6-7pm

Join the fun at the 5th-annual lighting of the Town of Bunn’s Christmas tree, located outside Town Hall, 601 Main Street, Bunn NC. Enjoy the fellowship, listen to music, eat free food, and maybe win a door prize. Santa will be there. Updates may be posted to the Town of Bunn’s Facebook page.

Knightdale Christmas Tree Lighting

Friday, November 30, 2018 @ 6-8pm

Knightdale’s annual Tree Lighting includes Santa, food vendors, music, and more. The tree is lit at the conclusion of the event. Follow updates on the Town of Knightdale’s Facebook page.

NOTE: This tree lighting is part of the town’s “Christmas on First Avenue,” which actually kicks off with a Holiday Fair on Thursday, November 29, 2018 (6-8pm). Stop by and shop for gifts at local vendor stations.

Lighting of Wake Forest

Friday, November 30, 2018 @ 6-8:30pm

Spend the evening on Centennial Plaza, 301 S Brooks Street, Wake Forest NC, and see the town’s Christmas tree lit by the mayor, see Santa Claus, listen to live music and entertainment. Stepping Into The Past

A Downtown Christmas featuring Candyland!

Join “A Downtown Christmas” celebration in Wilson NC with events downtown, at the courthouse plaza (tree lighting), and in the Vollis Simpson Whirligig Park. Free, family-friendly events are planned. Gingerbread House Contest

Tree Lighting Celebration

Zebulon Christmas Parade

Sunday, December 2, 2018 @ 2-3:30pm

Line the main streets of Zebulon NC and enjoy the floats, marchers, dancers, and more, with Santa Claus near the end. The parade route runs from the Zebulon Community Center down Arendell Avenue, then turns down W Gannon Street, ending in the parking lot at J&M Chevrolet. Because this parade draws a large crowd, it’s best to pick a spot early along the parade route. Follow updates via the Zebulon Chamber’s Facebook page.

Tuesday, December 4, 2018 @ 6-8pm

Kick off the holiday season with Selma Parks and Recreation in downtown Selma NC. Live entertainment starts on the Town Hall stage (Raiford Street), followed by the parade (7pm), and then the tree lighting ceremony (and fireworks). See event flyer here. Christmas ~N~ Middlesex

Gingerbread House Festival

Wake Forest Christmas Parade

The Wake Forest Christmas Parade is scheduled, rain or shine. It will follow a route through downtown Wake Forest NC. Come and watch as parade floats, marchers, business/organization entries, and Santa Claus travel through the town. See details here.

Rockin’ For The Rescues Benefit Concert

Saturday, December 8, 2018 @ 4-6pm

Arkham Comix hosts this special night of music at their Wilson location. The address is 3710 Peppermill Drive Suite F, Wilson NC. The students of String Theory Music Lessons offer this concert as a fundraiser for The Maggie Society. To enjoy the event, donate a bag of dog food for entry; no other fee to enjoy the music. These incredible kiddos will take the audience on a journey through music history. Donations of other pet goods are also welcome, including pet toys, bedding, and others.

Santa Storytime and Holiday Movie

Saturday, December 8, 2018 @ 4-7:30pm

Register in-advance at the HD Cooley Library () and your child will receive a wrapped book. Storytime begins at 4pm, followed by pictures with Santa until 5:30pm. The movie begins at 5:30pm and concessions will be available. Bring something comfy to sit on as we watch Elf on the big screen in the gym at Nashville Elementary School, 209 E Virginia Street, Nashville NC.

Greenville Christmas Parade

Saturday, December 8, 2018 @ 5-7pm

Organized by the Greenville Jaycees, the Christmas parade marches along Evans Street/downtown Greenville NC, with the potential for 150+ entrants in the parade. See information here.
