The Town of Wendell, North Carolina, located in eastern Wake County, will be the site of a variety of family-friendly events during the month of March. In addition to town-organized events, local organizations have Spring activities planned.
The “Stars in the East” is a ticketed event, but most other listed events are free for all ages.

Stars in the East
Thursday, March 15, 2018 @ 5:30pm (dinner) and Show at 7:15pm (show)
Enjoy an evening out in Wendell with dinner and a show! Dinner will be catered by Rey’s Restaurant of Cary and served in the East Wake High School Cafeteria. During the food and fellowship, Tom Benton will speak about the wonderful accomplishments and happenings for Eastern Wake County Schools. As this is an evening celebrating our “stars,” the program includes a recognition ceremony of scholarship recipients for Wendell Rotary and Zebulon Rotary. Afterwards, head over to the auditorium for a live evening performance and be amazed by the local talent of our school aged children!

Arbor Day Celebration
Two days of tree-related activities in celebration of Arbor Day 2018.
Friday, March 16, 2018 @ 6-8pm
Join Wendell Rocks, Lynette Pair, and Wendell Tree Board members at the Art of Giving Studio inside the Wendell Woman’s Club, 10 S Cypress Street, Wendell NC, for a free rock painting party.
Painted rocks will be hidden within the community to find on Saturday.

Free Arbor Day festivities include a celebration of Wendell’s 35th-consecutive designation as a Tree City USA award recipient, a presentation by the Wendell Tree Board on the History of Arbor Day, an interactive tree planting and initial tree care demonstration, kick-off of the Mother Tree Project, a baby tree adoption. Activities take place around the J. Ashley Wall Town Square, Wendell NC.

ProTown BMX
Saturday, March 24, 2018 with Shows at 11am and 2pm
Come out and watch the ProTown BMX stunt team demonstrate flips, spins, whips and much more at this free event. Set up will be along Main Street in downtown Wendell NC. The Greenville-based team will have autograph sessions and free riding clinics after each performance, so bring bikes and helmets and ride with the pros. Wendell Egg Hunt
