Spring Food Drive
The Wendell Council of Churches is having its Neighbor Helping Neighbor Spring Food Drive to re-stock our local [Wendell] food pantries.
On Saturday, April 6, 2019, members of the Wendell Council of Churches will put out bags for participants to fill with non-perishable food items.
On Saturday, April 13, 2019, members of the Wendell Council of Churches will collect the bags. Your help in re-stocking our local pantries is most appreciated!

Bird Watching

Wendell Egg Hunt

Held at Wendell Community Park, 601 W Third Street, Wendell, NC.
It’s time again for the Wendell Egg Hunt! This is a free community event for everyone. Invite your friends and neighbors and come out to an awesome morning full of fun activities.
This year, The Passage Church is partnering with Wendell Baptist Church and they’ve got even more inflatables, more eggs, and lots of other fun stuff to do!
KIDS AGES 0-11 will be able to participate in the egg hunt. All ages are welcome to enjoy the activities.

“Play Ball!” is music to the ears of the Town of Wendell citizens. What better way to transition into the spring season than a day of ball at Wendell Park! Kick off the baseball and softball season in Wendell at our “Opening Day” celebration! Enjoy “Pitch, Hit and Run” competition, a homerun derby, and inflatables. T-ball, baseball, and softball games will also be played.

Spring Into the Arts Walk
Saturday, May 11, 2019 @ 9am-3pm
Free day-long community event of visual, fine and performing arts! Young artists will have their art work from school on display showcasing Wendell’s youthful talent at Southern Charm Door Hangers. Kids art activities offer creative engagements for budding artistes. Explore arts and crafts vendors along Main Street.
Acoustic sounds of bluegrass will emanate in Downtown Wendell beginning at 10am with the GrassStreet Band, followed at 1pm by the Counterclockwise Band.
Car enthusiasts can “ooh” and “awe” over vehicles at the Classic Car Show.
Aromas of yummy eats from local restaurants and food trucks will waft in the air as you stroll Downtown Wendell.
See artists creating masterpieces throughout Wendell’s Historic District that will be available for auction at Wine and Beer 101 on Main Street.
Reception begins at 6:30pm and a live auction commences at 7pm. Proceeds from the auction will be used for projects recommended by the Wendell Appearance Commission.
