Wilson County Public Library offers programs for at the Main Library in Wilson, North Carolina, its five branch libraries, plus Bookmobile access.

Digital literacy classes take place at five branch locations.  See Mail Library and Branch Library Programs below for additional technology instruction.

All ages are invited to get creative in the library’s newly opened Makerspace with STEAM supplies, 3D printer, sewing machine, Cricket cutting machine, and more.

The Main Library is located at 249 Nash Street W, Wilson, NC.

March Madness Bracket Challenge

Held in the Main Library Teen Room. Teens are invited to experience March Madness and fill out a NCAA tournament bracket!  The winner will receive a surprise gift.  Ages 13-18 welcome.  No registration required.

Teen Advisory Board

Wednesday, March 25, 2020 @ 4:30-5:30pm

Held in the Main Library Teen Room. The Wilson County Public Library Teen Advisory Board (TAB) gives teens the opportunity to share ideas and plan programs and services offered to their peers by the library. Members of TAB attend monthly meetings and assist in at least one teen program each school year. Participation may count toward school and National Honor Society service hours!  Refreshments will be served.  Ages 13-18 welcome.  No registration required.

Local Author Night

Monday, March 16, 2020 @ 6pm

Held in the Main Library Assembly Room. Join us for our monthly celebration of the work of local authors. Guests this month are Barbara Robl, editor of her mother Lolly Grantham’s book of poetry Faded Roses, and Beverly Ham, author of 15 Reasons Why We Need the Holy Spirit. Copies of these works will be available for purchase and signing at the event. Open to all ages.  No registration required.

Wilson County Genealogical Society Meeting

Held in the Main Library Assembly Room. Donnie Lowe will present An Adoptee’s Search to find His Birth Parents.  Mr. Lowe will explain his search methods, along with the highs of finding his living biological family members and the lows of discovering the tragedies that befell others.  All are welcome.  No registration required.

Keyboard & Mouse Basics*March 4, 2020 — Learn how to left-click, right-click, double click, use basic command keys, and navigate various areas of the keyboard in this beginner class.

Computer Basics*March 11, 2020Prerequisite: Attendance at Keyboard & Mouse Basics or equivalent experience. Learn the basics of computing, including how to start your computer, save and re-open a file, and create a folder.

Internet Basics*March 18, 2020Prerequisite: Attendance at Computer Basics or equivalent experience. Learn basic internet terminology, how to navigate a browser, locate a website, identify common domains, and stay safe while searching the internet.

1:1 Technology Assistance*

Available at the Main Library. Need help with a smartphone, tablet, e-Reader, or laptop?  Call 252.237.5355 x.5028 to make an appointment for 1:1 assistance from library staff.  Sessions may be limited to 30 minutes depending upon staff availability.
