Unidentified flying object (UFO) sightings are reported, across the United States, year-round. UFO reports cover close encounters of various types, range from blinking lights in the sky to unusual aircraft to contact.
In September 2020, US UFO sightings were reported to either the National UFO Reporting Center (NUFORC) or the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) — while there is overlap, some reports are only in one database or the other.
