We have been fortunate to cover this event for the past four years, and the haunted attractions get better every year.
This year’s Haunted Field of Screams kept up with last year’s perk of FOUR haunted attractions! There were also two different five-minute escape rooms to try out, a few scary carnival games, and a TAROT Card reader. They also had free corn hole, large Connect Four, and two large JENGA sets to play while having a snack or a drink.
The mini escape rooms were a blast, and really get the heart pumping, as you are trying to figure out the puzzles to escape in just five minutes. There are two to choose from and the puzzles are hard! We did not escape in time and had to do the walk of shame out the front door!

The Dead Man’s Maze is always a great place to start to set the creepy vibes. Traveling through a dark corn maze, with the wind rustling the corn stalks is always such a blast, especially when the moon is not out to guide you and the occasional scary creatures pop out when you are least expecting it.
CarnEvil was a creepy clown and fun-house theme! There was a mini maze within the creepy carnival that was fun to escape from. We went around in circles a couple times and the clown laughter throughout was definitely not helping us escape! There were some pretty good jump-scares in this one, even when we were trying to anticipate when they would pop up!
The Condemned had an unnerving family serial killer vibe. Each character was setting the tone warning you to be aware of what was coming as you move through! Some of the eerie statements like “mom they’re coming,” “my uncle is going to have fun decapitating you,” and “don’t follow my sister, she cant be trusted” were definitely chilling to hear as we moved through each scene.
Zombie Paintball Massacre is always a great time and was our favorite this year. The militaristic theme always gets you amped up to prepare for killing zombies. The quarter-mile run through the maze was a great way to also get the heart pumping before you arrived at the van to begin to kill zombies. The soldiers even set up friendly competitions to track who killed the most zombies. We had a blast with this one!
We had an amazing time this year and will definitely be encouraging friends and family to check out the HAUNTED FIELD OF SCREAMS!
