The Carolina Farm Stewardship Association has held farm tours across North Carolina, covering different counties on each tour. This year, the tours are merging, under the name “Piedmont Farm Tour”.
From the announcement:
Previously, we’ve organized two farm tours a year around North Carolina’s Triangle region: the Piedmont Farm Tour in the spring and the Eastern Triangle Farm Tour in the late summer.
We’ve partnered with Weaver Street Market since the very first year of the Piedmont to present the tour, and we were thrilled to have them as our Eastern Triangle Farm Tour partner in 2017. With Weaver Street Market as our co-sponsor for both tours, it allowed us to think about the ways a unified farm tour could help bring even more people out to the Triangle’s diverse sustainable and organic farms.
This year’s Piedmont Farm Tour will be the weekend of April 28-29, 2018, 2-6pm on both days.
Close to 50 farms will be featured on the 2018 Piedmont Farm Tour, spread across all of these counties:
- Alamance
- Chatham
- Durham
- Franklin
- Johnston
- Orange
- Person
- Wake
Visit the Carolina Farm Stewardship website for volunteer opportunities, tickets, and participating farms on the tour.
