The city of Rocky Mount has rescheduled the performances of “Dracula.” Based on the novel by Bram Stoker and directed by Brooke Edwards, artistic and managing director for the theater at the Imperial Centre, performances of “Dracula” will take place at 7:30pm on three dates:
- Friday, October 28, 2016
- Monday, October 31, 2016
- Tuesday, November 1, 2016
Performances were previously postponed following the impact of Hurricane Matthew. Fifty percent of the proceeds from Dracula ticket sales will be donated to the city of Rocky Mount’s United Way Campaign.
“We want to thank our volunteers, cast and crew for their flexibility and willingness to work with the city as we worked to reschedule,” says Sheila Long, recreation services supervisor at the Imperial Centre for the Arts and Sciences. “We look forward to this opportunity to celebrate how our community comes together in a time of need.”
The public is invited to watch as Count Dracula begins to exert his will upon the residents of London. These residents try to piece together the clues of his appearances in a valiant attempt to save themselves from a hideous fate. Rich with both humor and horror, this play paints a wickedly theatrical picture of Stoker’s famous vampire.
Tickets for Dracula are $11 for adults, $9 for seniors, and $7 for child/student tickets.
