FCAC Hosts Afternoon Tea with Journalist Jane Falkner on Nov. 12

Franklin County Arts Council (FCAC) will host its November tea with writer and journalist Jane Falkner. The Afternoon Tea will be held Saturday, November 12, 2016, at 3 pm, at the FCAC Headquarters located at 22 S Main Street, in Franklinton NC.

Falkner, recently honored as a recipient of a United Arts Council Regional Artist Award, is the first woman sports writer in Virginia and one of the first in the Southeast. She has won awards in both sports journalism and public relations writing.

Falkner’s informal discussion will include a brief excerpt from her current project, a memoir entitled In Search of Cesar Chavez and a discussion of the author’s recent cross-country adventure. She will be introduced by long-time friend, Raleigh native, Debbie Durham.

Sponsors of the event, which includes refreshments, include the Franklin County Arts Council and members of Saint Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Oxford, North Carolina.
