Friday Friday Coffee is back for 2016! February 5, 2016 , 7:30am, is the first meeting of the new year. All are welcome to gather at the Nashville Exchange Steakhouse and Cafe, 229 W Washington Street, Nashville NC.

Next month’s First Friday Coffee is scheduled for March 4, 2016, at 7:30am as usual.  For this March meeting, Pat Daniels from Nash Community College will be providing educational information on the “Connect NC Bond Referendum”. Come out for the March First Friday Coffee, and find out how this referendum could impact this area.

Like the name suggests, this networking event is held on the first Friday of the month, almost every month. It is open to Chamber members and non-members, providing a chance to grab a free cup of coffee, network with local business people, talk with local officials, meet town employees, and get to know fellow citizens/residents of the area.

Each month, a local business sponsors the First Friday Coffee and picks up the tab for some of the morning goodies. February’s sponsor is John Vann with Haney, Vann, Bruton & Crawford, LLP Certified Public Accountants. Their firm is located at 324 Smith Church Road, in Roanoke Rapids NC. Sponsoring the coffee not only helps cover costs for the event, it also provides businesses with exposure, including a chance to talk about what they do and who they are, for a few minutes during the First Friday Coffee.

The Nashville Chamber of Commerce also says that at the February First Friday Coffee they will be announcing exciting news about the new Nashville Jaycee’s organization that will be getting started in 2016.

The Nashville Chamber of Commerce not only provides regular networking events like First Friday Coffee, they also organize Nashville NC’s famous Blooming Festival each year. This year’s festival is May 6-7, 2016. The Blooming Festival is held Mother’s Day Weekend in downtown Nashville and is a carnival, entertainment, and parade all rolled in one.
