The public is invited to a reception for participating photographers in Franklin County Arts Council Photo Guild’s fourth annual Photography Show. The show begins Saturday, October 8, 2016, at 3pm, with a reception. The show and reception will take place in the FCAC Back Gallery, located at 22 S Main Street, in Franklinton, North Carolina.
During the reception guild member Bob Ringham will be signing his book 20 Minutes from Home, a beautiful collection of images and quotes that tell the story of the photographer’s journey to the store, to his swim class, or dropping his daughter off to school. In those moments captured, seeing the light and moving on, Ringham says, “It seems like I’m always moving on.” All proceeds from the sales of his book will be donated towards Alzheimer’s research, care and support.
Prizes in two categories – black and white and color – will be awarded during the reception. Guests will also have the opportunity to vote for their favorite photograph for the People’s Choice award.
The photography show will continue through the month of October. Visitors to the gallery may vote for their People’s Choice throughout October. The People’s Choice winner will be announced at the end of the show on October 27, 2016.
