Get those supplies and donations ready.  The Wake Up Benefit Gospel Concert for Princeville, North Carolina (Edgecombe County), is being held December 10, 2016, at New Bethel Christian Church, located at 4307 Poole Road, Raleigh NC.

Wake Up is a group of Wake County citizens working to help those in need in and out of the county.

The concert begins at 5pm, with guest performers including Lady Reba & Redemption of Detroit Michigan, The Silver Stars of Raleigh, Ashani Mime Ministry (Shemar Pugh) of Raleigh, Grady Walston and Blessed of Raleigh, and more.

Tim Carrington, owner operator TLC Entertainment Group, and Priscilla Ann of Wake Up — a Wake County citizens group, have been working behind-the-scenes since October on this combination gospel concert and donation-gathering event. Items donated at the concert will be delivered to a Princeville NC intake facility, with the Mayor of Princeville, Bobbie Jones, taking charge of monetary donations received.

The group is collecting donations for immediate needs  — toiletries, non-perishable foods, cleaning supplies, towels, washcloths and such. Many people are still displaced.

If you have questions about donations, contact the organizers at 919.438.3528 or via email and let them know what you’d like to donate.
