Very few things can make people cheer, cry, and laugh, all within two hours, like a movie. This year’s movie choices at Lawn Chair Theatre will have viewers feeling all that and more. Tomorrowland will kick off the event June 17, 2016, on the Imperial Centre lawn.

The Imperial Centre is located at 270 Gay Street, in Rocky Mount NC.

The family friendly outdoor movie series is free and open to the public, with kids’ activities starting at 7pm. Movies start at 8:30pm. Concession and drinks will be available for purchase.

All movies are scheduled on the Imperial Centre lawn. In the event of rain, Lawn Chair Theatre will be held in the Imperial Centre’s Education Building.

Special Events Coordinator, Susan B. Phelps, is excited about the movie selections this summer. Says, Ms. Phelps:

“We had a ballot again this year and let the people vote for their choices, and we are thrilled with the selections. There really is something for everyone, from animated features to live action films. We just want to encourage everyone to bring their lawn chair and join us.”

Other movie dates and times include

  • Minions — July 1, 2016
  • Zootopia — July 15, 2016
  • Inside Out — July 29, 2016
