The State of North Carolina’s Martin Luther King, Jr. Commissioner, Jacquie Jeffers, announces that auditions for the “Share The Dream Talent Show” will be held on November 5, 2016, 1-5pm. The eighth annual Share the Dream Talent Show’s auditions will take place during this year’s Whirligig Festival.

The Share the Dream Talent Show is a family-oriented event planned for January 14, 2017. It includes a stage full of talent, a fashion show, Community Spirit Awards, vendors, and much more.

Auditions for this largest, most diverse, community talent show invites all ages to audition and share their talents.  Auditions will be in the Arts Council of Wilson facility — the third-floor Grand Studio of the Wilson Arts Center, located at 124 Nash Street NE, in Wilson NC.

This audition is an opportunity for “unity in the community” for people of all ages.

Your participation is needed, so don’t be shy! There is no cost to audition.

When you arrive for your audition, be sure to prepare 3-5 minutes of song, dance, poetry, music, or clean comedy. Maybe your talent isn’t listed here and you want to showcase something different… As long as it is family oriented, Lady J would love to have you participate!

Be sure to have your music on a CD.

Vendor spots will be available to sell or display during the 2017 talent show, and may be reserved now. The vendor fee is $30, which includes a table and two chairs. Sell products, hand out information, or talk about your services with the crowd the day of the talent show.

Volunteers are needed for tasks before and during the show. Lend a hand to help behind-the-scenes! The January talent show will be in the Edna Boykin Cultural Center in Wilson NC

For more information on auditioning, to volunteer,  or to reserve a vendor space, contact Ms. Jeffers via email.
