It’s not a tractor… It’s a security guard! While Kioti Tractor in Wendell, North Carolina is known for their tractors and utility vehicles, look in their front parking lot and you’ll see a transformer-like “security guard” standing tall.
Well, it’s not really a security guard. The not-so-sentient sentry is constructed from tractor parts and is one of only two such creations. In addition to the robotic-looking sentry in front of Kioti Tractor Division in Wendell, there is a second sentry with the parent company, Daedong Industrial, in South Korea.
Can you recognize any of the Kioti Tractor parts used in the mechanical man’s construction? Here’s a photograph that provides a closer look.
While I’ve been told that its eyes will glow red — which would likely scare the bejeezus out of any trespasser — this guard stays where it is rather than going on any robotic rounds. At least, it’s not supposed to move… If you drive down US Hwy 64/264 late at night and see it walking the grounds, be sure to let the good folks at Kioti Tractor know!
