Wilson County Public Library has released a list of upcoming programs offered to the public this October at the Main Library, located at 249 Nash Street W, Wilson NC, at branch libraries, and at bookmobile locations.

Early Literacy Programs
For children, early literacy programs will continue at the Main Library every Wednesday and Thursday morning. Children ages birth through 2 are invited to join the 9:30am program. Preschool age children are invited to join the 10am program.
The Children’s Department will be taking part in the Halloween Treats program at the Wilson Botanical Garden on October 29, 2017, 4-6:30pm. There will be costumes, contests, candy, storytelling, a parade, and more.
Teen Programs
On Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at 6pm, teens are invited to come and take part in Teens CreateIt! in the conference room.
On Thursday, October 12, 2017 at 4:30pm, the library will host a Creative Writer’s workshop for teens in the conference room.
On Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at 6pm teens are invited to Teen Movie Night for a showing of the movie Everything, Everything in the conference room.
On Thursday, October 26, 2017 at 4:30pm, teens will want to attend the Teen Tech program featuring Google Cardboard, in the conference room.
Classes for Adults/Teens
A series of Introduction to Computers classes will be offered in the Conference Room every Wednesday in October, 2-3:30pm. Registration is required by September 29. Each class builds on the one before, so plan to attend all four classes. For more information and to register, call Mark at 252.237.5355 x.5074.
Adults are invited to preregister for two career classes to be held in the conference room in October. On Thursday, October 5, 2017, at 1pm, Job Portfolio and on Thursday, October 12, 2017 at 1pm, Career Planning. To register, call 252.237.5355.
Adults and children age 12+ are invited to preregister for the Ceramic Mug Class. There will be two classes held in the conference room: the first will be on Monday, October 9, 2017 at 2pm, and the second on Monday, October 16, 2017, also at 2pm.
On Monday, October 30, 2017 at 6pm, and again on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at 2pm in the assembly room, adults and teens aged 13+ are invited pre-register for the “Book Turkey” crafting class. Turn a recycled book into a turkey table setting.
