A new novel, Saponi by author Steven E Davis, will be released on Wednesday, July 4, 2018 — Independence Day.
Published and distributed by Amazon and KDP Publishing, Saponi is both the heartwarming and heartbreaking tale of two peoples with one cause. Saponi and Colonists alike lived together in peace until The King’s Rangers show up and destroy tranquility. Come join The People Of The Red Clay and a few determined Colonials as they show us what makes our nation what it is today.
The novel Saponi, while fiction, was written with breathtaking historical accuracy. This is a story of love, war, racism, and eventually togetherness.
Anyone that has ever enjoyed reading and learning about The Native American Culture, The American Revolution or Eastern North Carolina will thoroughly enjoy this piece.
Set in what is now The Hollister Area of The Halifax/Warren County Community, this story shows the incredible struggle and lifestyle of the Saponi Tribe, their history, and how The Colonists of the time did their part in America’s Independence.
Saponi is part of a larger set of Historical Fiction pieces called The Carolina Series. I hope you all will follow along on all of these incredible journeys.
