Late day thunderstorms had just moved through, and golden setting sunlight began penetrating through raindrops that had collected on the lily pads of varying colors in a pond near my Randolph County home. The water drop colors were altered by adding late-day golden sunlight color to them. I had always wanted to photograph raindrops on lily pads. I never imagined it would look like this when my opportunity arrived.”
