Clayton Promotes Volunteerism with April 13 “Clayton Volunteer Fair”

By Ian Rumbles, Town of Clayton

Would you like more volunteers? Would you like people to know more about the great things you are doing in the Clayton community?  We would like to help you with both of these objectives.

On Saturday, April 13, 2019, 9am-3pm, we are holding the first ever Clayton Volunteer Fair, in conjunction with the Town of Clayton’s 150th Anniversary Party. It will be an excellent opportunity for you to educate the public on what your organization does and to recruit some new volunteers.

We want to maximize the number of volunteer-based organizations involved, so registration is free, but you do need to register by Friday, March 29, 2019. We are allocating 10’ x 10’ spaces. For a registration form or with questions, email or call 919.827.1832.

While our main goal is to educate the public on what volunteer groups exist in Clayton, we also hope through this event to initiate an organization directory, volunteer opportunity clearing house, community calendar, and encourage joint projects.

Think Giving Back!  Think Volunteering! – The Clayton Volunteer Fair will be held on the Town Square, Clayton, North Carolina.

Ed. Note: On April 13, 2019, the day of the 150th Anniversary Party, the party was moved indoors due to rain.  Activities moved to inside Clayton High School.
