It’s garden time in North Carolina. Native plants, annuals, perennials, trees, shrubs, bulbs, plants, and seeds can go into the ground in April as we pass the last-frost date.
Master gardeners, gardening clubs, and area gardens are holding plant sales, some in conjunction with Spring festivities.
Johnston County Master Gardener Plant Sale
Saturday, April 6, 2019 @ 8am-1pm
Pick up native plants and more — annuals, perennials, vegetables, herbs, etc. — at the JoCo Master Gardener Volunteers’ Annual Plant Sale. There will be trees, shrubs, books, tools, and garden art available for sale too. This event will be held at the Clayton Community Center, 715 Amelia Church Road, Clayton NC. Proceeds from the sale help fund the Johnston County Extension Master Gardeners Volunteer Association programs. See information on this county Master Gardeners event.
South Garner FFA Plant Sale
April 11-14, 2019
Purchase plants grown by the horticulture students, including annuals, vegetables, hanging baskets, and more. Limited quantities available, so come early in the sale. The Future Farmers of America sale will be held at South Garner High School, 8228 Hebron Church Road, Garner, NC. See hours and details here.
Wilson Master Gardeners’ Spring Plant Sale
Saturday, April 13, 2019 @ 9am-noon
Held at the Wilson Botanical Gardens, 1806 Goldsboro Street S, Wilson NC, this is a large plant sale offering a variety of vegetable plants, herbs, perennials, and more. Purchases help to support the gardens.

Nash County Master Gardener Plant Sale
Saturday, April 27, 2019 @ 8am-noon
Support the Nash County Arboretum and pick up annuals, perennials, trees, vegetables, herbs, and more at this event, which will include a raffle and silent auction too. Bunn Garden Club Plant Sale
Saturday, April 27, 2019 @ 8am-noon
The annual Bunn Garden Club sale includes a variety of locally grown plants. Offerings will include azaleas, rhododendron, day lilies, and iris. Wayne County Garden Festival and Plant Sale

Steel Magnolias Garden Club Plant Sale

Spring 2019 Plant Sale Fundraiser
