Wilson County Public library has released a list of upcoming programs offered to the public this February at the Main Library.
For children, early literacy programs will continue at the Main Library every Wednesday and Thursday morning.
- Children ages birth through 2 are invited to join the 9:30am program.
- Preschool age children are invited to join the 10am program.
On Tuesday, February 7, 2017, at 6pm, teens are invited to the “Anti-Valentine’s Day Party.”
On Tuesday, February 7, at 7pm in the Assembly Room, adults are invited to hear Lisa Henderson’s Black History Month presentation, “Say Their Names: Reclaiming Wilson’s Slave Past.”
On Tuesday, February 8, 2017, at 2pm and again at 6pm, adults and families are invited to the “Be Sweet!” program. The program is intended for adults but all ages are welcome with adult supervision. The program will demonstrate how to make candy. Attendees will make candy and take home free samples. (The program is free and open to the public. To register, patrons should call 252.237.5355)
On Saturday, February 11, 2017, starting at 3pm, storyteller Fred Motley will celebrate Black History Month.
On Thursday, February 21, 2017, at 6 p.m., the library will host a free showing of Max Steel.
