Daily Meals at Wilson Soup Kitchen

Contributed by Linda Connor

Community Soup Kitchen in Wilson provides a hot meal, around midday, to anyone who is hungry.

Meals are served each week, Monday through Friday, 10:30-11:30am, except on major holidays. They will be closed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Each weekday’s menu consists of homemade soup, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, a meat sandwich, tea, water and a dessert. This is the basic menu, other items may be served as they are donated.

Donations appreciated include: #10 cans of mixed vegetables, carrots, corn, peas, potatoes, and tomatoes, grape jelly, smooth peanut butter, tea mix, desserts, and sliced white bread.

The community Soup Kitchen is located at 307 N Railroad Street, Wilson.

Monetary donations are welcome to help with the costs of supplies, utilities, etc. Checks should be made out to the Community Soup Kitchen and sent to P.O. Box 2091, Wilson. NC 27894.

Any questions may be directed to Neill Connor at 252.292.8019 or 252.245.6177.
