Winterville Watermelon Festival is August 25-27

Join the fun at the 31st annual Winterville Watermelon Festival! This family-oriented event runs August 25-27, 2016, with a schedule that includes watermelon eating, music, vendors, all types of fun foods, and cool things to watch on-stage and off.

Come for the food, the music, the amusement park rides, and Bingo!  So many things to do, the whole family will find something fun.

The festival runs from 6pm to 11pm on Thursday and Friday (August 25-26), and 8am to 11pm on Saturday (August 27).

All concerts at the Winterville Watermelon Festival are free. Not only do local bans play at the festival, but nationally known bands.  Concert seating is General Admission. There is an accessible seating area open for visitors with disabilities plus one guest. All seating is limited, and available on a first come, first served basis. Arrive early for best options.  Gates open at 5pm for music, so plan accordingly — and bring a folding lawn chair or canvas chair for comfort.

The music includes “Motown Madness” on Thursday evening, August 25, 2016.

Friday’s concerts, August 26, 2016, include Spare Change and Sister Hazel!

Then, Saturday, August 27, 2016, starts with a Veterans Breakfast, followed by the Watermelon Parade. The fun continues from there with a variety of performances, The Dare Devil Dog Team, and more!

Saturday night includes the “Watermelon Jam” with music by Darkwater Redemption, Mikele Buck Band, Lauren Alaina, and Brothers Osborne.

The Town of Winterville is located in Pitt County, just south of Greenville, North Carolina.
