UPDATE: Because of this weekend’s potential inclement weather, the Maximum Cheer and Dance competition has been postponed. It will be held at a later date, to be determined, and will not take place on Sunday as originally scheduled.
With multiple events under its belt, Rocky Mount Event Center, will be hosting the Maximum Cheer and Dance competition on Sunday, December 9, 2018, in the 75,000 square-foot field house with doors opening at 10am. This will be the first youth sports event to be held at the state-of-the-art facility and in line with the holiday season the theme of the event will be “Mistletoe Madness”.
The event is looking to bring hundreds of visitors to the downtown Rocky Mount community. Admission is $18 per ticket, with free admission for children ages three and under. Guests who bring in a blanket and/or coat to donate will receive a discounted admission price of $15 per ticket. The blankets and coats collected will benefit “One Warm Coat” charities and a portion of the admission fees will go to gyms on the east coast most affected by Hurricane Matthew.
Maximum Cheer and Dance provides events for youth and adults from all kinds of communities and backgrounds to come together to enjoy a fun, safe, family-centered environment of competition. The organization has hosted enough events to know that coaches, judges, parents and cheerleaders prefer the experience in this environment as a competitive event. Maximum Cheer and Dance hosts events throughout North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Maryland, Virginia, Florida and Georgia, which allows easier access for competitors, their families, and spectators to attend.
