The Rhine-Durham “Living in a Mindful Universe” Presentation is Apr. 27

The Rhine Research Center will be holding two related events with authors Dr. Eben Alexander and Karen Newell.

On Friday, April 27, 2018, 7-9pm, join a talk on “Living in a Mindful Universe” with Dr. Eben Alexander, New York Times best-selling author of the book, Proof of Heaven, and neurosurgeon. Dr. Alexander will be joined by Karen Newell of Sacred Acoustics. This Friday night talk will be held at the Eno River Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 4907 Garrett Road, Durham, North Carolina. Registration fee is $35 per person at the door; $25 for The Rhine members. More details here.

On Saturday, April 28, 2018, 10am-2pm, the “Into The Heart of Consciousness” workshop with Alexander and Newell will explore the soul. This workshop will be held at The Episcopal Center at Duke University, 505 Alexander Avenue, Durham, North Carolina. The Rhine Research Center is a nonprofit involved in studying parapsychology since the 1930s, and began its work as a part of Duke University. The Rhine conducts research into human consciousness, holds enlightening and educational events, hosts a research library, and fosters community for psychic phenomena. In 2017, the center held its first essay contest, encouraging fiction and nonfiction writing related to parapsychology.
