Wilson Area Libraries Offers Teen Events

The Wilson County Public Library system is offering a variety of teen events for Spring 2016. Events are held at the main library branch in Wilson, the Elm City library, and the Lucama library.

TEENS @ Wilson County Public Library (WCPL) Main Branch

To register for any of the main branch’s teen events, call the library at 252.237.5355 x.5073 or email the teen event coordinator. Events at the main branch, Main Library Branch, 249 Nash Street W, Wilson NC, are scheduled as follows:

  • Teens Create – April 5, 2016 @ 6-8:30pm
    Teens have a chance to get creative and participate in artistic workshops.  This April 5th workshop is on “Air Plant Terrariums.” Creative classes are held on the first Tuesday of each month in the Conference Room.
  • Teen Movie Night – April 19 @ 6-8:30pm
    Movie night is held monthly on the third Tuesday through May. Mockinjay Part II is being shown on this date. M
  • Teen Gaming Club – April 28 @ 4-5:30pm
    The gaming club is held on the fourth Thursday each month. The club meets in the Conference Room.
  • Teens Create – May 3 & 10 @ 6-8:30pm
    Both the May 3rd and May 10th classes focus on “Clay Creations.” Creative classes are held on the first Tuesday of each month in the Conference Room.
  • Teen Movie Night – May 17 @ 6-8:30pm
    Movie night is held monthly on the third Tuesday at the main branch through May. The movie this date is 5th Wave.
  • Teen Gaming Club – May 26 @ 4-5:30pm
    The gaming club is held on the fourth Thursday each month. The club meets in the conference room.

TEENS @ WCPL Elm City Library

The teen events scheduled for the Elm City Library, 114 N Railroad Street, Elm City NC, are listed below. Events are held on the second and fourth Thursdays. Reach this library by calling 252.236.4269 or email Tami.

  • April 14, 2016 @ 4:30pm
    Come and join the fun with Legos!
  • April 28 @ 4:30pm
    On this date, the library is holding a Taste Test event.

TEENS @ WCPL Lucama Library

Lucama holds teen programs on the first and third Thursdays at 4pm. These teen events are held at the Lucama Library branch, 103 E Spring Street, Lucama NC.

  • April 7, 2016 @ 4pm
    This date’s event is the International Food Tasting and UNO Tournament
  • April 21 @ 4pm
    This afternoon is a showing of the movie, Mockingjay Part II.
