Audition for Death of a Salesman in Wilson NC, and bring this famous play to life for local audiences.
As the play’s Director, I’ll be overseeing the auditions, which are January 18 and 19, 2016, from 7-9pm. Auditions are being held in Grand Studio of the Wilson Arts Center, 124 Nash Street, Wilson NC. To reach the audition location, foot traffic should enter the Wilson Arts Center on the Goldsboro Street side of the building, with the entrance address 108 Goldsboro Street.
All roles are open and local actors are encouraged to audition. The plan for this stage play is to present a multi-racial cast, with the roles available as follows:
- WILLY LOMAN -60’s tired, beat but still has fire.
- LINDA LOMAN- 55-65, loyal, tough with inherent sweetness.
- BEN LOMAN-70’s; adventurer, tough, salty.
- BIFF LOMAN-30-40; handsome, dreamer, could have been a contender.
- HAPPY LOMAN-28-32; sex on legs, his career is sex.
- CHARLY-60’s-Tough, resilient, he is what Willy Loman wants to be.
- BERNARD-35, a success, period. Always did the right thing at the right time.
Familiarity or experience with Death of a Salesman is not a requirement to audition. The show will be performed March 3, 4, and 5, 2016, at 8pm, and March 6, 2016, at 3pm; actors must be available on those dates to be considered for a role.
Tickets for the show’s March performances are expected to be $12/person.
