The event features James Parker and the Electric Image Band. Senior participants. 55+, are encouraged to bring their kids and grandkids to the family-friendly festivities.

Alex Langley, Senior Center director, says the event is an opportunity to celebrate the anniversary of the center and to educate the senior community about the services available to them.

“We are excited to celebrate 10 years of advancing the quality of life for our older adults through our facility and community partnerships,” says Langley.

This year, an added incentive is the Vendor Fair, which will begin at 10am. More than 20 organizations and business that provide opportunities, services and products for local seniors have registered for the fair.

“The response to the vendor fair has been wonderful,” says Langley. “We really want to encourage individuals to come out, bring their families, enjoy the food, music and take some time to visit the vendors.”

Both the Summer Blast and the Senior Day Vendor Fair are free events. Participants are asked to bring lawn chairs, as on-site seating will be limited.
