Wilson County Public library announces upcoming public programs this May at the Main Library, 249 Nash Street W, Wilson, North Carolina.
Unless otherwise noted, all programs May are in the Main Library. There will be no Branch programs for the month of May; each branch is preparing for Summer reading programs.

Wednesdays
Computer Classes will be offered in the conference room every Wednesday in May from 3pm to 4:30pm, Classes will require prior enrollment. Contact Mark at 252.237.5355 x.5074 to enroll.
Wednesdays & Thursdays
Early Literacy Programs for children will continue at the Main Library every Wednesday and Thursday morning. Children ages birth through 2 are invited to join the 9:30am program. Preschool age children are invited to join the 10am program.
May 2, 2017
On Tuesday, May 2 at 6pm in the Assembly Room, WCPL will be hosting the Gilbert-Chappell Distinguished Poets Series with Tevin Aiken, a student at Barton College, and Distinguished Poet, Amber Flora Thomas.
May 4 & 18, 2017
On Thursdays, May 4 and 18 from 12-2pm in the Assembly Room, adults are invited to participate in the Crafternoon program.
May 6, 2017
On Saturday, May 6 from 12-3pm, children and teens are invited to come and take part in Free Comic Book Day. This event is held at DreamDaze Comics, Fun and Games, located at 2801-1B Ward Blvd, Wilson NC.
May 16, 2017
On Tuesday, May 16 at 6pm, the library will host Teen Movie Night and will be showing Queen of Katwe in the library’s Assembly Room.
May 9 & 25, 2017
On Tuesday, May 9 and Thursday, May 25 at 12-1pm a Lunch and Learn Job Lab will be held in the Computer Room. Attendees will learn about job searching websites, local employment agencies, and newspaper classifieds.
May 24 & 25, 2017
On Wednesday, May 24 at 6pm and Thursday, May 25 at 2pm in the Assembly Room, adults are invited to the program, Recycled Flower Yard Art.
May 25, 2017
On Thursday, May 25 at 4:30pm, teens are invited to Bike Maintenance 101 in the library’s Conference Room.
