tsū has always championed creators. To celebrate the release of our video product, tsū is awarding $22,000 in grants to musicians who write/co-write and perform their original tracks.
In order to find this year’s #originalOne, tsū is hosting a head-to-head competition to find the ultimate original musician. Artists worldwide can participate by submitting an original song they intend to perform to the email submissions@tsu.co. After a screening process, artists whose songs have been approved must must create a 2-minute maximum video of themselves performing their song.
Entries will be categorized into one of the following six genres:
- Hip Hop / R&B
- Electronic Dance
- Jazz / Blues
- Country / Blue Grass
- World / Classical
- Rock / Alt / Indie
Submit the song you want to perform by Thursday May 12, 2016; space is limited. Head-to-head begins Monday May 16, 2016

The winners of each 6 music genres and the users who brought them to tsū will take home $1,000 apiece. All 6 music genre winners will battle it out in the finals for first and second place. Finalists will be hand-selected by a panel of industry legends and household entertainment names. Second place will win an additional $2,000. The Grand Prize Winner will take home an additional $8,000 and the title of this year’s tsū #originalOne.
*Grand Prize Winner will receive $1,000 for winning their genre plus $8,000 for winning the finals and may receive an additional $1,000 if they are also the parent of another genre winner for a total of $10,000.
