LiveWell Colorado Film Challenge: Screenings, Awards on August 18

The public is invited to a special night of film screenings and awards for the LiveWell Colorado Film Challenge.

The LiveWell Colorado Film Challenge is a new statewide competition for college student-produced short films about barriers to healthy living in Colorado. In the spring of 2016, student filmmakers from across the state submitted 1-3 minute films. During this special community event, finalists will be honored and $12,000 in awards and prizes given to three winners.

LiveWell Colorado and the Colorado Office of Film Television & Media partnered in this new film competition. They invite you to join them for this exciting event.

Kathy Walsh, CBS4 Weekend Anchor and Health Reporter, will emcee this exciting community event.

On August 18, 2016, 6:30-9pm (MDT), the awards ceremony and screenings are being held at the Sie FilmCenter, 2510 East Colfax Avenue, in Denver CO. The schedule is:

6:30pm – Doors open. Come walk the red carpet and enjoy light refreshments.

7pm – Screening and awards event begins.

8:30pm – Reception in the lounge.

Tickets are $10 per person; $5 for students. Buy tickets online here. Parking will be free in the event location’s garage.
