Join us on the tenth anniversary of our store and our ninth annual Earth Day Festival. Learn all about Earth Day and share the day with local artist! Meet new groups, new people, grab a bite to eat, and sit and enjoy the day.

The Earth Day Festival is being held on April 23, 2016, starting at 11am and going until 5pm.  There will be Music by Magus all day, with special events scheduled:

  • 1pm – Learn to Belly Dance with Quincy
  • 2pm – Brainstorm panel on what can we do in our area to improve the earth. (New part of the festival for 2016.)
  • 2pm – Red Cross Demonstration
  • 3pm – Hoola Hoop Demonstration
  • 4pm – Belly Dancing with Jessica

The event is being held in the parking lot of Truely Unique, located at 2006 US Hwy 301 S, in Wilson NC.

Over 30 venders are expected, including the Red Cross, Toad Song Farm (plant sale), Shimmy for a Cause, Music by Magus, Readings by Angelica, Luscious Body Care Soaps, Portraits by Sparky, Readings with Jennifer, Knights Haven Crafts, Rune Readings, Enchanted Cottage embroidered items,  The Bear Baker, Simply D’liteful,  Briotique, Sparky portraits, and more.

Raffle tickets will be sold to benefit earthday.org.

A collection will be held for the local food bank. Bring boxed and canned goods, or bring meat and vegetables and Truely Unique has a freezer to keep them fresh for the food bank to pick up.

Bring clean clothes or shoes that are not needed anymore and place them on our clothing-exchange tables. You can go through the clothes and take what you need; then, all clothes and shoes remaining will be given to a local battered women’s shelter (Clothe Line) and the Salvation Army.  There will be one table set out for children and one table for adults.

Bring your lawn chairs, and your appetite and join the fun on this family-oriented day!
